Who we are

Established in 1934, the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (MVFC) protects and safeguards the lives and property within the boundaries of Middlefield and Rockfall by doing everything within its power to provide firefighting and rescue services, as well as provide mutual aid support to surrounding communities. As well as fire response we are the first responders to medical calls throughout the town.

Meetings and drills are held on Monday nights at 7:00 P.M. Membership is limited to fifty people, but we are always looking for new members. Funding is provided from the town budget and we also have fund raisers to purchase equipment and take care of our internal functions throughout the year. The MVFC is dedicated to providing for the safety and welfare of the community through the preservation of life, property, and the environment, by maintaining a constant state of readiness through firefighter training, and public education.

The MVFC operates out of the firehouse located at the intersection of Jackson Hill Road and Route 157 and utilizes two engines, a tanker, a rescue truck, two pickup medical response trucks, a brush tanker, a small boat, a Polaris UTV, and an antique parade engine. Applications can be picked up at the firehouse on any Monday night or our phone number is 860-349-7124 where you can leave a message or email info@middlefieldfirect.org.
